- The degree must be from an AICTE-approved institution. Other disciplines and dual specialisations are not accepted.
- Marks: First Class for General/OBC-NCL/EWS. SC/ST/PwBD can apply with Pass Class.
- AMIE/AMIETE/GIETE with First Class is also accepted (Pass Class for SC/ST/PwBD).
- If your university gives CGPA/SGPA, keep the conversion certificate ready for the interview.
- OBC (NCL) certificate must be issued on or after 1 October 2025, and the EWS certificate for FY 2025-26 on or after 1 April 2026.
- Medical fitness is required. Colour blindness makes candidates unsuitable (as reported).

Pay Scale and Benefits
₹40,000 – 3% – ₹1,40,000 (E-II), with an approximate CTC of ₹13 lakh per annum. Benefits include DA, HRA, conveyance allowance, performance-related pay and medical reimbursement. As per one source, a pay revision is due from 1 January 2027.
Selection Process and Exam Pattern
- CBT – 85% weightage (85 marks)
- Interview – 15% weightage (15 marks). About 5 candidates per vacancy are shortlisted, discipline- and category-wise.

- Training: 6 months.
- Service agreement: 2 years, with a ₹2,00,000 penalty for breach, as reported.
