Section 2 — Key Answers
Q21. "Save" stores changes to the existing file under its current name and format/location; "Save As" allows the user to save the file with a new name, format, or location, creating a separate copy.
Q22. Go to Insert menu → Header and Footer → select Header (or Footer) → choose the required style/enable it for the document → type the required text in the header/footer area.
Q23. Sorting arranges data in a spreadsheet in a particular order (ascending or descending) based on the values in one or more columns; useful, for example, when arranging student marks from highest to lowest.
Q24. A Primary Key uniquely identifies each record within its own table and cannot contain duplicate/null values; a Foreign Key is a field in one table that refers to the Primary Key of another table, establishing a relationship between the two tables.
Q25. A Slide Transition is the visual effect that occurs when moving from one slide to the next during a presentation; examples include "Fade" and "Wipe" (or any two correctly named transition types).
Section 3 — Key Answers
Q26. Steps: (1) Create/open the main document (e.g., a letter). (2) Go to Tools → Mail Merge Wizard. (3) Select or create the data source (e.g., an address list). (4) Insert merge fields (like name, address) into the document at appropriate places. (5) Preview the merged documents. (6) Complete the merge to generate individual personalised copies, or print/send them directly.
Q27. Example functions: SUM() — adds a range of numeric values, e.g., =SUM(A1:A10); AVERAGE() — calculates the mean of a range, e.g., =AVERAGE(B1:B5); MAX()/MIN() — returns the largest/smallest value in a range; COUNT() — counts the number of cells containing numeric values in a range (any four correctly explained functions with syntax should be accepted).
Q28. One-to-One: each record in Table A relates to exactly one record in Table B (e.g., an employee and their unique ID card record); One-to-Many: one record in Table A relates to multiple records in Table B (e.g., one teacher teaching many students); Many-to-Many: multiple records in Table A relate to multiple records in Table B (e.g., students enrolled in multiple courses, and each course having multiple students).
Q29. Steps: (1) Open LibreOffice Impress and select a template/design theme. (2) Add a title slide with the topic name. (3) Insert a new slide (Slide → New Slide) and add text content using a text placeholder. (4) Insert an image via Insert → Image on another slide. (5) Add a third slide with additional content, and apply/verify the chosen design template is consistently applied across all slides. (6) Save the presentation.
Q30. Data validation restricts the type or range of data that can be entered into a specific spreadsheet cell, helping prevent incorrect data entry; for example, a cell can be set to only accept whole numbers between 1 and 100, so entering "150" or text would trigger an error/warning, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
