Answer
To change the font style and font size of selected text in a word processing document, follow these steps:
Steps to Change Font Style and Size
Step 1: Open the word processing document.
Step 2: Select the text whose font style and size you want to change.
Step 3: Go to the Formatting Toolbar or the Home tab, depending on the word processing application.
Step 4: Click the Font Name drop-down list and select the required font style, such as Arial, Times New Roman or Calibri.
Step 5: Click the Font Size box/drop-down list and select or enter the required size, such as 14, 16 or 18.
Step 6: The selected text will now appear in the chosen font and size.
Example
Suppose the text "Digital Documentation" is selected.

You can select Arial from the Font Name list and set the Font Size to 16. The selected text will then appear in Arial font with a size of 16 points.

What is the purpose of "Find and Replace" in a Digital Documentation application? Give one example of its use.

Q21. What is the purpose of "Find and Replace" in a Digital Documentation application? Give one example of its use. Q21. Digital Documentation application में "Find and Replace" का क्या उद्देश्य है? इसके उपयोग का एक उदाहरण दीजिए। +
Answer
The Find and Replace feature is used to quickly search for a particular word, phrase, number, or text in a document and replace it with another word, phrase, number, or text.

It saves time because we do not need to search and edit each occurrence manually.
Purpose of Find and Replace
The main purposes are:

1. To find specific text quickly in a document.
2. To replace incorrect or outdated text.
3. To make the same correction at multiple places.
4. To save time and reduce manual editing errors.
Example
Suppose a document contains the school name "Saraswati Vidya Mandir School" at 20 different places, and the school name needs to be changed to "Saraswati Vidya Mandir Hr. Sec. School".

Instead of editing all 20 places manually, we can use Find and Replace:

Find: Saraswati Vidya Mandir School
Replace with: Saraswati Vidya Mandir Hr. Sec. School

The application can replace the text throughout the document.
Shortcut Key
In most digital documentation applications such as LibreOffice Writer:

Ctrl + H → Opens the Find and Replace dialog box.
Short Exam Answer
Find and Replace is a feature used to search for specific text in a document and replace it with new text quickly. For example, we can replace all occurrences of "Class 10" with "Class 11" in a document using Find and Replace.
उत्तर
Find and Replace सुविधा का उपयोग किसी document में किसी विशेष शब्द, वाक्य, संख्या या text को जल्दी से खोजने और उसके स्थान पर दूसरा शब्द, वाक्य, संख्या या text रखने के लिए किया जाता है।

इससे प्रत्येक स्थान पर manually editing करने की आवश्यकता नहीं होती और समय की बचत होती है।
Find and Replace

Find: Saraswati Vidya Mandir School
Replace with: Saraswati Vidya Mandir Hr. Sec. School

Application document में उस text की सभी occurrences को replace कर सकता है।
Shortcut Key
LibreOffice Writer जैसे Digital Documentation application में:

Ctrl + H → Find and Replace dialog box खोलने के लिए।
परीक्षा के लिए संक्षिप्त उत्तर
Find and Replace का उपयोग document में किसी विशेष text को खोजकर उसे नए text से जल्दी बदलने के लिए किया जाता है। उदाहरण के लिए, document में लिखे सभी "Class 10" को "Class 11" में बदलने के लिए Find and Replace का उपयोग किया जा सकता है।

Section 2 — Key Answers
Q21. "Find and Replace" locates specific words or phrases in a document and allows the user to automatically replace them with alternative text; e.g., quickly replacing every occurrence of an old company name with a new one throughout a long document.
Q22. Select the required text → open the Font Name dropdown on the toolbar and choose the desired font style → open the Font Size dropdown and select the desired size (alternatively, use Format → Character for more detailed options).
Q23. Freezing panes keeps selected rows and/or columns (such as headers) visible on screen while scrolling through the rest of a large spreadsheet; useful, for example, when scrolling through hundreds of rows of data while keeping the column headers always visible at the top.
Q24. A report is a formatted, print-ready presentation of data retrieved from one or more database tables/queries; it serves the purpose of summarising and presenting data in an organised, professional manner for viewing or printing (e.g., a monthly sales report).
Q25. Slide animation applies a visual effect to individual objects/text within a single slide (e.g., text flying in); a slide transition applies a visual effect to the change between two entire slides as the presentation moves from one to the next.
Section 3 — Key Answers
Q26. Steps: place the cursor at the desired location → Insert menu → Image → From File → select the required image and insert it → click on the inserted image to select it, then drag its corner handles to resize it proportionally → right-click and choose "Wrap Text" (e.g., "Wrap Around" or "Optimal Page Width") to control how surrounding text flows around the image.
Q27. Steps: create a spreadsheet with columns for income items and expense items, entering their respective amounts → use =SUM(range) to calculate total income and total expenses separately → use a subtraction formula, e.g., =TotalIncome−TotalExpenses (or =SUM(IncomeRange)−SUM(ExpenseRange)), to calculate the remaining balance in a designated cell.
Q28. Steps: open the database and go to the Queries section → choose "Create Query in Design View" → select the required table and add the necessary fields to the query grid → in the Criteria row under the "Marks" field, enter the condition (e.g., >80) → run the query to display only the records/fields meeting this condition.
Q29. Steps: select the slide where the chart is needed → Insert menu → Chart → a default chart with sample data appears → double-click the chart and edit the underlying data table to enter the actual values → choose the desired chart type (e.g., Bar) from the chart type options → click outside the chart to finalise it, then resize/reposition it on the slide as needed.
Q30. Cell protection restricts editing of specific cells in a spreadsheet, typically after the sheet is "protected," so that only unlocked cells remain editable; this is important, for example, in a shared worksheet where formula cells (which calculate totals automatically) should be locked/protected to prevent accidental changes, while data-entry cells remain open for users to fill in.
