CBSE New Guidelines (Session 2025–26)

| 1 | Attendance Requirement | Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory for students of Class X and XII to appear in Board Examinations. Relaxation is allowed only in genuine cases with valid documents. |
| 2 | Two-Year Academic Programme | Completion of a continuous two-year course is compulsory (Class IX–X for Class X Board and Class XI–XII for Class XII Board). |
| 3 | Internal Assessment | Internal Assessment carries significant weightage and includes Periodic Tests, Projects, Practical Work and Classroom Participation. Marks must be uploaded on time. |
| 4 | Question Paper Pattern | Board examinations will focus more on competency-based questions, case-study based questions and application of concepts. |
| 5 | Syllabus Status | No official reduction in syllabus has been announced by CBSE. Schools must follow the complete prescribed syllabus. |
| 6 | Answer Book Rules | Students must write answers strictly section-wise. Answers written in wrong sections may not be evaluated. |
| 7 | Practical & Project SOPs | Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Practical Exams, Projects and Internal Assessment must be followed strictly. |
| 8 | Class Size Limit | Maximum number of students per section should generally not exceed 45, as per CBSE norms. |
| 9 | School Initiatives | Schools are encouraged to implement initiatives like Eco Clubs, Orientation Programmes and Hub & Spoke Model. |
| 10 | Unfair Means (UFM) | Use of unfair means during examinations will attract strict disciplinary action, including cancellation of results or ban from future exams. |
